In order to be submitted as a local tryout player, the player must: (a) not be considered a prospect (as defined below), (b) not be an international player (as defined below), or (c) have been eligible for and gone through an NBA Draft. A “prospect” is any player who:

a) has been an NBA Draft pick;

b) has been under contract with an NBA team at any time prior to NBA G League opening rosters being set (5:00 P.M. (ET) on November 7, 2024);

c) was a Division I All-American, or a Division I All-Conference performer (in the following conferences only Big East, Big Ten, Big 12, SEC, PAC 12, ACC, AAC, A10, or Mountain West), in the 2022-23 or 2023-24 season (“All-American” is defined as a first, second or third team performer as selected by the Associated Press, USA Today or National Basketball Coaches Association and “All-Conference” is defined as first, second or third team performer as selected by the Conference);

d) played in an NBA Summer League game in 2023 or 2024;

e) received end-of-season NBA G League recognition (including individual NBA G League awards like Most Valuable Player, Rookie of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year and Most Improved Player of the Year, but not including a Sportsmanship Award, and any All-NBA G League Teams) for the 2022-23 or 2023-24 seasons;

f) attended the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament in 2024;

g) attended the 2023 or 2024 NBA Draft Combine or NBA G League Elite Camp; or

h) has been tendered a contract by the League for the upcoming season.

Valley Suns open tryouts will take place at Arizona State University Sun Devil Fitness Complex Maroon Gym & Gold Gym on Saturday, September 7 from 8:00am – 12:30pm. The facility is located at 400 E Apache Blvd, Tempe, AZ 85281.

Candidates must be at least 18 years old by the tryouts on September 7.

Candidates must register online at theValleySuns.com/tryouts by Friday, September 6 at 5:00 p.m. PT. accept Walk-up registrations will not be accepted.

No previous experience is required as long as NBA G League eligibility requirements are met.

There is a non-refundable registration fee of $300.

There will be no spectators permitted at the tryout.
